I grew up in Port Coquitlam B.C., and spent the first 20 years of my life pursuing my first passion of hockey! I played through the ranks of Junior A, into University before closing that chapter of my life. After my University hockey playing days came to a close in 2020, I needed an outlet to put my discipline and desire to grow, and that outlet became music…
Starting by teaching myself (with plenty of help from YouTube) how to play the guitar, I found love for all types of music from Rock, Folk, and Blues, to Hip Hop, Jazz, and R&B. This led me down the path of learning how to sing and write my own music as an expression that reflects my life’s experiences, and the world that influences me.
In 2023, towards the end of my time at University in Victoria, my roommate and I decided to busk for the first time. At that moment I knew right away that I was going to pursue a career in music… The feeling of playing in the open air, putting smiles on people’s faces, and having a few bucks dropped in the guitar case, was all the proof I needed that this was meant for me. I now perform my vast catalog of music over hundreds of shows across the province each year!
My music incorporates a variety of sonic elements akin to John Mayer’s guitar rhythms, Mac Miller’s lyricism, and Ed Sheeran’s vocal melodies. The guitar-based landscape of my music explores the vast space between retro and modern, diving into stories of discipline, hardship, love, and spirituality.
